mopti
Acclaimed multi-media collective, founded in 1997, with a unique
blend of composed structures, loop-based improvisation, image-rich
poetry, and atmospheric visual projections. Takes its name from
a Don Cherry tune named after a town in Mali.
mopti were Artists in residence at Bristol's centre for sustainable
development, The Create Centre, for The Year of the Artist 2000-2001.
There have also been sell-out performances at some of the south-west's
most unusual spaces (including The Create Centre itself, The Tobacco
Factory, Templar House, a disused light-industrial space overlooking
building constructions, and the Rondo Theatre, as part of the Bath
Literature Festival).

mopti are:

Jon Hardeman

Pete Judge
(compositions, trumpet, flugelhorn, pocket trumpet, loops);
Reuben Knutson
(visual projections);
